Love You Like A Love Song Valentine

Whenever the middle of January roles around I start getting all giddy and lovey eyed for all things Valentines. I start writing out ideas for possible classroom Valentines and I start dreaming up possible ideas for the boys' Valentines shirts.

Guess what!?! It is the middle of January. So I am thinking we should get all Valentine's Day up in here. The first of three classroom Valentines are done.

I need to give mad props to my very favorite one of my favorite songs, since it was the inspiration for this Valentine. Oh Love You Like A Love Song, you were just asking to be turned into a Valentine. I had the idea for the printable sitting in my back pocket, metaphorically speaking of course. Of course. I just needed something to go with the idea. Then I saw these plastic toy whistles at The Mart.

Well if that isn't just perfect, I don't know what is.

So I made up a Valentine with Love You Like A Love Song (get the printable HERE). I taped the whistle to the card with some washi tape.

As simple as you please, one pretty cool non-candy classroom Valentine. I am pretty sure Little's kindergartner teacher is gonna just love that I gave 20+ kids whistles. Best. Parent. Ever.

Now I just need to whip up the other two boys' Valentines. The ideas are in place. The materials are bought. Now I just need to find the time to get them done. Do you happen to know where I can get some of that?

Here are some of our previous classroom Valentine ideas.

Minecraft Be Mine Valentines (printable)

I have one last classroom Valentine printable to share with you before Valentine's Day.

When I made Little Man the Be Mine Minecraft T-shirt for Valentine's Day, I got quite a bit of lip. If you remember, Oldest was not happy that he got the "number sign" shirt, aka the Hashtag shirt and Middle got the "cool" Minecraft one.

In order to keep the mutiny at bay, I promised him that I would come up with a "cool" Valentine. I figured that since I made a Minecraft shirt for one I should make a set of Minecraft Valentines for the other.

Cool Valentine: Check.

Minecraft Valentine: Check.

Less Lip from Oldest: Check. Check.

I made both of the Minecraft Valentine's using PicMonkey. First I used PicMonkey to create the actual creeper face. Then I was able to use that image and use it as an overlay for my Minecraft valentine.  There are two different valentines just for kicks and giggles.

To make up the valentines all you need is--

The Minecraft Be Mine Printable (download here)
cellophane treat bags
candy

Attach the treat bag either by sewing them on or by stapling them on.

All done. All set.

A Minecraft Valentine perfect for any Minecrafter....er...player of Minecraft? You know what I am talking about.

Nothing says I love you like Minecraft, right?

My boys' classroom valentine's are officially all done and ready for 2014. Woot! Woot!

Outta This World Valentine

We are now officially in February. The month of love. The month of Valentine's Day. The month of classroom parties, love notes, roses, chocolate, and cupid's arrow.

Good times.

Here is my most recent classroom Valentine idea. This could be a candy Valentine or a non candy valentine. This valentine could also be both.

I went with the phrase, "You are outta this world!" with the idea of pairing the valentine up with Milky Way candy bars and glow in the dark stars.

Then I made a valentine printable. I used my Royale membership from PicMonkey and one my favorite features, the transparent background on the canvas function. That is what allowed me to make circular tags. Woot.

Anyway, I digress.

So I made these double sided "You are outta this world!" classroom valentine printables.

All you need to make these classroom valentines is:

Milky Way candy bars
glow in the dark stars
small cellophane treat bags

Then you just cut them out, load up the treat bags, and staple the tag closed over the bag.

Easy, peasy done.

Be prepared to have a classroom full of Outta This World Valentines!
