End of School Pizza Party

“This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and TONY’S® Pizza, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #BigPizzeriaTaste http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

School's out for the Summer, well for us it is almost out. We have 8 days left, but then who is counting. The end of the school year calls for a celebration.

This year we decided to throw ourselves a little pizza party.

An Hasta La Pizza School party. Oh gosh. I kill myself. After I laughed at how clever I was, I went to work making posters and decorations for our end of school pizza party.

If one is having a pizza party, one must have pizza.

When you have four boys with bottomless pits for stomachs, you have to have good pizza that is affordable. Good news for me is that TONY's®  Pizza is now 30% larger, comes in a variety of yummy crowd pleasing flavors, and they are super affordable.

I ran over to Walmart and I picked up a few of our favorite flavors of Tony's Pizza. We cooked them up and set them out to start our pizza party.

To make our party all fun with very little clean up necessary, I laid out butcher paper and served the pizza right on top of it. I labeled the butcher paper with which kind of pizza was on the menu.

Even the drinks were served up easy in paper cups with paper straws.

We can't forget the decorations. You all know how I like a good coordinated party. So to go with our pizza I made up pizza decorations.

A simple pizza banner.

I whipped up these banners using PicMonkey.

If you are feeling the urge to throw your kiddos an Hasta La Pizza School party, I have made this little pizza banner print out for you to use.

I also made up some invitations just in case you want to invite the whole neighborhood.

Time to load up the plates with all the yummy pizza. All that authentic pizzeria taste, made with real cheese, and lovely herby tomato sauce piled on a plate. My boys love pizza.

I completely lost track of how many pieces they each ate.

Pizza is always a good idea. Especially for a celebration. You can use these printables to throw your own Hasta La Pizza School pizza party. You can also load up with a COUPON for Tony's Pizzas: SAVE $.75 off of any TWO (2) Tony's Pizza (14.14 oz. or larger). The Walmart digital coupon is available until 6/30/15. (While supplies last)

Cereal Glazed Donuts

Years ago I had something that changed my life. I had a raised donut that was glazed and then covered in cereal. CEREAL. I knew I just had to come up with my own version of a cereal covered donut.

I recently had the perfect opportunity to recreate these donuts of my dreams when I worked with General Mills and received a few of our family's favorite cereals. The bonus is not only did we get these yummy boxes of cereal, but because General Mills is also teaming up with Skylanders with a free exclusive Skystones game the boys got a fun card game that gives them tons of entertainment.

Bonus-they LOVE anything Skylanders.

Hidden inside specially marked Big G cereals, you will find Skystones cards playable on the game board found on the back of the cereal box. Participating Big G brands include Honey Nut Cheerios, Frosted Cheerios, Fruity Cheerios, Reese's Puffs, Cookie Crisp, Lucky Charms, Trix and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
Waiting to open these boxes of cereal was torture for my boys. They were so excited to not only eat the cereal, but to play the Skystones game.

Once I told them they would get to play the Skystones game over a breakfast of Skylanders Cereal Glazed Donuts, well they were so excited I am pretty sure I locked in the Mom of the Year award.

Before I would let them play, we opened up our favorite Big G cereals and got ready to make Skylanders donuts.

You too can make your own Cereal Glazed Donuts.

You just need to open up a few of your favorite boxes of Big G cereals.

My favorite are Fruity Cheerios. The boys love Cookie Crisp.

Making the donuts is easy. All you need is--

-refrigerator biscuits
-oil for frying
-powdered sugar
-milk
-vanilla

Heat the oil up over medium high heat. Cut a whole in the center of each refrigerator biscuits. Fry each donut for 1 1/2 minutes per side or until each side is golden and the donut is cooked through. Drain the donut on a paper towel.

Mix 2 cups of powdered sugar with 2-3 Tablespoons of milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Mix until it is the consistency of a thick glaze.

Dip the donut in the glaze. Then dip the glazed side of the donut into the cereal of your choice.

Now you have a seriously yummy donut for breakfast.

A Cereal Glazed Donut any kid would enjoy.

With donuts in hand, it was time to play the Skystones game. There are four different Skystones card sets, and you can collect all four to make the game as fun as it can be. The boys laid out the cards and each chose five cards. The back of each cereal box has a Skystones game board on it.

One player is Team Blue and the other one is Team Red. They lay cards down, flip opponents cards and ultimately try to get all the cards to be their color.

They might just love to play the game so much that they get distracted from finishing a very delicious Cereal Glazed Donut. Little even declared it one of his new favorite games.

The fun just keeps coming with the free Skylanders Collection Vault app that is available on your phone or tablet. Each set of Skystones cards has a downloadable code to unlock characters in the popular mobile Skylanders game.

Run and go grab yourself a few boxes of General Mills participating cereals, make your kiddos some cereal glazed donuts, and collect all 4 Skystone card sets.

Family Game Night Party- with Monopoly Plus

Our family is a big fan of playing games together. We laugh, we cheer, we tease, we play, and we have fun. Like a lot of fun. We recently amped up our family game night and turned it into a little bit of a party. A little Family Game Night Party with invitations and all.

I mean the invitations was stuck to the door and just for our boys, but they were impressed nonetheless.

I felt invitations and a Family Game Night Party were necessary because we were going to game it up and play Monopoly Plus on the Hasbro Game Channel. The Hasbro Game Channel is the place for family game entertainment on leading game consoles, featuring Hasbro's most popular games Monopoly, Risk, and Trivial Pursuit. Starting this fall, the Hasbro Game Channel will be available to download on Xbox One, video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system. All games will also be available for download individually on the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.

We have previously played Hasbro's Family Game Night on our XBox 360, and we LOVE all of the games. Since we have a family game night addiction, we were pretty obsessed with Hasbro's Family Game Night. So we were really excited to play Monopoly Plus on the Hasbro Game Channel. Family games are in the genes. Both The Hubs and I both come from families who play games. We are gamers, you could say. Ha. Some of my favorite memories of my family include playing games. Now we are making memories with our own kids.

If a Family Game Night Party and some Monopoly Plus don't make memories, I don't know what will.

So before we got our Monopoly on, we needed to have a little party.

This little game night party was so easy to throw together. I gathered some snacks I had in the pantry.

I used some party stuff that I had hanging out in the closet, and I rounded up a few other party supplies from the store.

I used the monopoly property cards from our traditional game. I hung them up on the wall with some washi tape.

I found these cute mustache plates, reminiscent of Mr. Monopoly, at Target in the party section. I paired them up with a fun patterned napkin.

I even made it a special occasion and whipped up some red Kool-Aid. Man did that make the boys happy.

To get ready for our Monopoly Plus marathon we needed to load up on the snacks.

Fuel up dude. Fuel up.

I am pretty sure this face says I am ready Mom!

This one says Don't bother me I am eating.

Snacks and napkins in hand, we were ready to play.

To say that we enjoyed the game is an understatement. Monopoly plus brings all the traditional aspects of traditional Monopoly to life with a  pretty awesome 2D board and colorful 3D graphics. Another cool thing is that Monopoly Plus let us choose our favorite House Rules to customize gameplay. We could all play since the game plays up to six players.

My boys love board games. They love video games. Basically that means that Monopoly Plus was a big winner.

Most family game nights are pretty casual and impromptu. We love it that way. However, it was fun to make a special occasion out of a family game night. My boys felt pretty special getting a Family Game Night Party. The party took hardly any effort on my part. The excitement and enjoyment they had was completely worth a little extra planning.
