End of School Pizza Party

“This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and TONY’S® Pizza, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #BigPizzeriaTaste http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

School's out for the Summer, well for us it is almost out. We have 8 days left, but then who is counting. The end of the school year calls for a celebration.

This year we decided to throw ourselves a little pizza party.

An Hasta La Pizza School party. Oh gosh. I kill myself. After I laughed at how clever I was, I went to work making posters and decorations for our end of school pizza party.

Download HERE

If one is having a pizza party, one must have pizza.

When you have four boys with bottomless pits for stomachs, you have to have good pizza that is affordable. Good news for me is that TONY's®  Pizza is now 30% larger, comes in a variety of yummy crowd pleasing flavors, and they are super affordable.

I ran over to Walmart and I picked up a few of our favorite flavors of Tony's Pizza. We cooked them up and set them out to start our pizza party.

To make our party all fun with very little clean up necessary, I laid out butcher paper and served the pizza right on top of it. I labeled the butcher paper with which kind of pizza was on the menu.

Even the drinks were served up easy in paper cups with paper straws.

We can't forget the decorations. You all know how I like a good coordinated party. So to go with our pizza I made up pizza decorations.

A simple pizza banner.

I whipped up these banners using PicMonkey.

If you are feeling the urge to throw your kiddos an Hasta La Pizza School party, I have made this little pizza banner print out for you to use.

Download HERE

I also made up some invitations just in case you want to invite the whole neighborhood.

Download HERE

Time to load up the plates with all the yummy pizza. All that authentic pizzeria taste, made with real cheese, and lovely herby tomato sauce piled on a plate. My boys love pizza.

I completely lost track of how many pieces they each ate.

Pizza is always a good idea. Especially for a celebration. You can use these printables to throw your own Hasta La Pizza School pizza party. You can also load up with a COUPON for Tony's Pizzas: SAVE $.75 off of any TWO (2) Tony's Pizza (14.14 oz. or larger). The Walmart digital coupon is available until 6/30/15. (While supplies last)

All That and a Bag of Chips Classroom Valentines

Having a fifth grader makes Valentine's Day a little tricky. Having a fifth grade BOY makes it even trickier. I mean there is still a classroom Valentine's party, but he is a fifth grade boy and showing any kind of ooey gooey emotion is strictly forbidden. He is WAY too cool for such nonsense. Add hearts and too much of the use of the word "LOVE" and well you might as well just get ready for the, "AW MOM! Come on!"

So what is a momma to do?

First I made sure the classroom valentine involved food. Not heart-shaped food, but good old kid-approved snack food. Then I made sure that the actual Valentine was no nonsense and simple. I did make some with hearts, but just in case that was too much love and such I also made some with absolutely no extra signs of love. Geez BOYS!!

Anyway...the last piece of this fifth grade boy approved Valentine was to simply clip the Valentine on the bag of chips with a small clothespin. Luckily I found these really adorable coordinating clothespins at Michaels that were adorable enough for me but subtle enough that the boy did not notice their adorableness.

If you have an older student who is no fuss, these Valentine's are perfect. Here are the printables for you. There is one download with hearts, the other sans hearts. Just click on the link at the bottom.

I probably should also mention, this is like the easiest Valentine to do ever. Then you will be the mom who is All That and a Bag of Chips. Hehehe. I kind of had to.

I shared some Classroom Valentine's in THIS post. Go check them out for more ideas.

TEE-rific Dad Father's Day Gift

Need a last minute Father's Day gift?

And by last minute, I currently mean tomorrow is Father's Day. That kind of last minute. Goosh. I am really cutting it close this year. Last year I was WAY on top of the ball and busted out three Father's Day gifts. This Camping Gift, Grilling Gift, and Soda Pop Gift. This year not so much. Which is why this oh-so-lovely blog post is going live the afternoon of the day before Father's Day.

The good news, is thanks to Pinterest even if you have already got Father's Day gifting all wrapped up...hahaha, wrapped up...you can just pin this idea for next year. So you can look at it two ways. First, this if for those who (like me) procrastinated Father's Day and need an easy last minute gift. Second, this if for those who are prepared and are already planning for next year.

Either way, I got ya covered.

For this Tee-rific Dad Father's Day Gift all you need is:

A t-shirt or two.

(these shirts all from Target)

You will need this TEE-rific Dad Tag, which I of course made in PicMonkey. Their fonts rock my world, AND did you know that now with their Royale Membership you can now use your own fonts. What?! Yep it is true.

(just right click, save as image, open in Word, resize if needed, and print off)

Some fabric scraps or yarn.

Simply fold up the t-shirts and tie the fabric scraps around. Attach the Tee-rific Dad Tag and you are good to go.

Now just like that you have a perfectly awesome Father's Day Gift great for planning ahead or last minute gifting.

LUCKY To Have Teachers Like You {printable}

First, if you are looking for the winner of the Staples Space Heater,
visit the Just Another Day in Paradise Facebook page to see if it might be you.

With St. Patrick's Day quickly approaching, I decided it would be the perfect time to complete a fun and easy St. Patrick's Day Teacher Appreciation gift.

As I have mentioned probably more times than you want to read, this year my PTO responsibility (Doesn't that sound legit? I try.) is Teacher Appreciation. I love our teachers and I kind of geek out over making them feel special.

For St. Patrick's Day I made up a fun printable using PicMonkey. I used some rainbow chip cookies and gold-wrapped Rolo candies as the treat. Get it, gold at the end of the rainbow. Probably didn't have to explain that did I? Haha!

I popped everything in a cellophane treat bag and then tied it closed and attached the tag with extra green and extra cute trims and fabrics.

Could you die over that pom pom trim? I love pom pom trim. LOVE.

These are super easy to whip out.

All you need is:

rainbow chip cookies
gold-wrapped candies
cellophane treat bags
trim and fabric cut in strips

Then all you have to do is assemble and drop off to your much-appreciated teachers.

How easy was that? Super duper easy.

Let your teachers know how lucky you feel to have them. Teachers could always hear it more I am sure.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss Tags {printable}

The very lovely Dr. Seuss is about to have a birthday.

We love Dr. Seuss and we have a whole stack of books that are Dr. Seuss approved.

Last year to celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday we had a Seusstastical Celebration at our house. It was pretty fantastic.

This year I wasn't sure how I wanted to celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday. Then I found these delightful pencils in the Dollar Spot at Target.

I grabbed several packages, I mean heck, they were only a buck a package.

I thought it would be fun to have the boys pass out these pencils at school. I made a set of tags to go with the pencils.

Naturally I used PicMonkey to help me make these tags.

I made a printable available for download. There are a two different tags. You can download them HERE.

Tie the tags to pencils with scraps of fabric.

Easy as that and they are ready to hand out in celebration of Dr. Seuss' Birthday.

in your shoes. You can steer yourself
any direction you choose."

Love is in the Air Valentine {printable}

Today I have another Valentine idea for you.

This is a great one for a class valentine or a teacher or a girlfriend.

They come together really easy and involve Airheads, which I am really rather fond of.

I made the Love is in the Air printable using PicMonkey. I have made it a PDF so it is easy to download and print off.

Download Printable HERE

The printable includes a valentine and a coordinating paper wrap to go around the Airhead candy.

Just print off the printable. I always recommend using card stock paper and to print at least normal setting, if not the best setting possible.

I used regular sized Airheads, but the smaller sized ones would work too.

Wrap the paper wrapper around the Airhead making sure to cover the "head". That way the word "air" is what shows. Tape the wrapper in place.

Tape or glue the Airhead in place. Love is definitely in the air.

Look for more Valentine ideas to come. I kind of went Valentine crazy this year...well crazier than normal.

Meant to BEE Friends Valentine {printable}

I love myself some fun Valentines and I am pretty excited that it is time to start creating and making Valentine's.

I actually created this Meant to BEE Valentine for my girlfriends. I love Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. Like...love it, love it.

When I decided I wanted to give a little gift to some of my girlies, some Burt's Bees seemed perfect. Especially once I paired it with the oh-so-familiar "meant to be" phrase.

I used PicMonkey to make this Meant to BEE Valentine. The file is a PDF and is available for your download valentine fun.

 (download HERE)

All you need to make this Meant to BEE Friends Valentine is the printable, some Burt's Bees Lip Balm, ribbon, and hot glue.

After I printed and cut out the Meant to BEE tags, I tied little ribbons around the lip balm tubes.

Then I used a small amount of hot glue to adhere the lip balm tube to the tag.

Done and done! So easy. All I have to do now is give them to my girlfriends.

Happy Valentine's Day planning and prepping. Love myself some Love Day.

A Pinteresting Wednesday: Lunch Box Jokes

Welcome to A Pinteresting Wednesday.

If you follow me on Instagram, than you know that yesterday school started.

Woot! Woot!

I love my boys and all, but I really rather enjoy them being at school occasionally. You know it kind of gives me a chance to miss them. Which I of course do. I miss the loudness. I miss the burps and farts (okay, only kind of). I miss the constant sound of running feet and wrestling. I miss the laughter.

So I figured while we are apart, I could send them a little something to chuckle about.

Jokes in their lunchbox. I imagine them reading one, then telling it to their friends. Them all laughing.

Then of course there will be a unanimous chorus of "Your mom is the coolest!" A girl can dream it anyway. Hehehe.

Searching Pinterest I found tons of great lunch box jokes. One of my favorite sets was from Paging Supermom. I pinned it to my Lunch for the Kiddos board. They offer a free download of five jokes.

I used some of those jokes and then a few from a couple of other sites.

Then I used PicMonkey, my all-time favorite online photo editing site. Their new School U feature is amazing and I love it. As I said in my "What is Your SuperPOWER?" Teacher Gift post.

I created five joke tags.

Download tags HERE

They are easy to download and cut out. Then all you have to do is sneak them into a lunch box.

Everyone likes a good joke. Laughing helps with good digestion...well that is what I would think anyway.

Since I love a good children's joke...in fact...

Side note and an FYI about little old me...when Hubby and I were registering for wedding gifts way back when, we registered for Laffy Taffy. One, because I LOVE them. Two, because the jokes make me giggle. Three, we pretty much thought it would be HEE-larious.

Now that you know a little bit more about me and we are best friends and such, I will get back on track.

I love these little joke notes. I am sure my Little Men will love these just as much as some homemade cookies...well almost as much...

I love Pinterest, and how great ideas come from there or stem forthwith.

Keep following along with Just Another Day in Paradise on Pinterest.

What is Your SuperPOWER? {A Teacher Gift}

We have still not gone back to school around here.

We are close though. Oh. So. Close.

Supplies are bought.
Clothes are picked (by me of course, I mean I do have boys so they don't care what they wear).
Back to school night attended.
Teachers met.
PTO assignments started.

This year I am super excited for my PTO responsibility.

Teacher Appreciation.

I love me some some teacher appreciation. I love great teachers and I love coming up with creative ways to cheer teachers on.

Previously, I have just done things for my kid's teachers, but this year I get to pamper all the teachers.

I wanted to start the school year off right with a little Welcome Back to School gift.

One of my favorite teacher tag lines is "I am a teacher, what is your superpower?" I first heard it years ago when my SIL, who is a teacher, told me about it.

So I that is where my inspiration came from.

For my POWERade What is SuperPOWER? Teacher Gift.

I picked out red and blue Powerade, because well those are pretty awesome superhero colors.

I made some coordinating tags.

I made a chalkboard sign and a superhero tag. I used PicMonkey, because well I love them. AND because they have a new "School U" full of all kinds of schooltastic tools, overlays, edits, and fonts. Goosh, I love it all.

I made the red tag and the black chalkboard to go with the red Powerade. The blue tag and the green chalkboard go with the blue Powerade. I actually printed them off like photos, but they would also print great from your home computer.

I have the images for you here on the little old blog. Just click the image and download to your computer. Then use a word type document to print off as many as you need.

I bought coordinating straws. Yes, yes, I do really like things to coordinate. I kind of geek out over coordinating colors.

I cut out the tags. Hole punched them and then tied them on to the bottle with, why yes that would be piece of coordinating fabric.

There ya have it.

20+ Welcome Back to School gifts for our teachers.

I also made a couple of teacher gifts just from the boys' to their teachers. I will share soon!

Happy Back to School!
