O"FISH"ally The Best Valentine

I have another classroom valentine idea for you today. This O"FISH"ally The Best Valentine is not a new idea, but I made up a new tag. I used bright colors and fun fonts. This valentine is great for Goldfish crackers or Swedish Fish.

Since this little Valentine is for a bunch of preschoolers I opted for the Goldfish crackers.

The printable is all ready and available for you to use.

Download printable HERE

I cut out my tags and simply stapled them onto the bag. SO EASY!!

I have already shared our SODA The Best Valentine and our You're So Cool Valentine this year. I have one more to share and then our little clan will be all ready for Valentine's Day 2016.

15 Boy-Approved Valentines

We have less than a month love birds. Less than one month to bust out a ridiculous pile of classroom valentines for those cute kiddos in our lives. Every year I try to come up with at least one new valentine idea for one of my boys. If I am feeling particularly productive I make new ones for all of my boys who are in school.

This year I will have all four. ALL FOUR. ACK! I might need some help and inspiration. Are you feeling the same way?

Our house is full of boys. Since we are a house of all that is rough and tough and smelly, I have to make an effort to make classroom valentines that are not too lovey and sappy.

Boys. They just don't appreciate that kind of stuff.

I rounded up 15 Boy-Approved Valentines that are perfect for the classroom, preschool, or just the neighborhood kids. My boys would happily hand out any of these (several they have in the past). Most of them all have printables and ideas. There might be one or two that show you how to create your own personalized one.

Each Boy-Approved Valentine on this list is fun, easy, and sure to be a big hit with their friends.

Hope this list of Boy-Approved Valentines gives you some ideas and inspiration for Valentine's Day this year.

Look out for my the Valentine's I am making this year too. Also, there will be a Valentine's Day T-shirt round up. You all know how I like a good Valentine's Day themed t-shirt.

Chocolate Covered Cherry Hearts

Valentine's Day is almost here. Like, tomorrow almost here.

Here is a really quick and easy Valentine treat you can make for someone you LUHVE. Plus these Chocolate Covered Cherry Hearts are super yummy.

These are ridiculously easy to make. All you need is--

cherry hearts
milk chocolate chips
wax paper
toothpicks

First melt the chocolate chips by the double broiler method. Put the chips in a bowl and then place the bowl over the top of a saucepan of shallow simmering water. The water and the bottom of the bowl should not touch. Stir the chocolate constantly until melted.

Use a toothpick to dip the cherry heart into the chocolate.

Cover the heart with chocolate and shake gently to remove excess chocolate.

Using a second toothpick, remove the chocolate covered heart from the first toothpick onto a sheet of wax paper.

Repeat until all the hearts are covered.

Let the chocolate cool and harden for at least 3 hours and up to overnight.

Now they are all ready. See how easy peasy it is.

You can package them up all pretty and give them away or you can just eat them right off the wax paper and say Happy Valentine's Day to yourself.

Or you can do what I did and give some away and eat some. A win win.

So Happy Valentine's Day and happy chocolate eating.

Chalkboard Mason Jar Glasses

So I love mason jars. Oh wait, you already knew that. I talk about my mason jar obsession a lot. I also use mason jars for tons of projects. Patriotic Centerpieces, Homemade Wassail, Easter Vases, Mini Pies, and SU'Pper Jar just to name a few.

One of my favorite things to do with mason jars is to use them as drinking glasses.

When I was perusing Michaels the other day, I found these awesome chalkboard labels. I saw them and the first thing I thought was, "I can put that on a mason jar".

I gathered some mason jars, the labels, a piece of chalk, and some pretty straws.

The labels easily adhere and are even re-positionable for a bit. Once they are on there good and you let them set for a bit, they stay on really well.

I wrote some simple Valentine's words on the labels with a sharpened piece of chalk. Yes you can do that ... sharpen a piece of chalk with a pencil sharpen, that is.

Pour some Valentine's punch...aka red juice or soda, and the cup is instantly Love Day festive.

I love Love Day chalkboard mason jar glasses. Luhve. You will probably see them again sometime.

Sign Language I Love You T-Shirt

Okay, time for another installment of Valentine's Day Shirts of 2014. I have already shared the Hashtag Valentine's Shirt and the Be Mine Minecraft Valentine's Shirt.

Today I am sharing this Sign Language I Love You shirt.

I really kind of love it. Okay so I totally love it.

This shirt reminds me of my mom. All growing up she would shoot us the sign for I Love You from across the room. All my siblings and I were accustomed to having mom send us a silent I love you. She still does it to this day. Now we are passing the token of love to another generation.

When I decided I wanted to use this idea for a shirt, it was pretty easy deciding who should get the sign language shirt. This guy right here.

In preschool, he spends a bit of time learning sign language for certain words. He is always really excited to come home and show us what he has learned.

He thought his shirt was pretty cool.

I chose to do a silhouette of the sign for I Love You. Then for design purposes...i.e. I thought it needed a little something more...I added the bracketed interpretation of the sign.

For the majority of the shirts I make I used Hanes shirts bought at The Mart. I buy all of my vinyl from Expressions Vinyl. I heart that site and I have nothing but good works to say about their product and their customer service.

I created the design with text and clip art. Cut it out, easy peasy on my Silhouette SD (someday I will get the upgrade and go Cameo).

I put it on Little. Handsome and adorable glasses-wearing Little.

Now he is all set for Valentine's Day and ready to melt a few hearts.

Including mine.

Love is in the Air Valentine {printable}

Today I have another Valentine idea for you.

This is a great one for a class valentine or a teacher or a girlfriend.

They come together really easy and involve Airheads, which I am really rather fond of.

I made the Love is in the Air printable using PicMonkey. I have made it a PDF so it is easy to download and print off.

Download Printable HERE

The printable includes a valentine and a coordinating paper wrap to go around the Airhead candy.

Just print off the printable. I always recommend using card stock paper and to print at least normal setting, if not the best setting possible.

I used regular sized Airheads, but the smaller sized ones would work too.

Wrap the paper wrapper around the Airhead making sure to cover the "head". That way the word "air" is what shows. Tape the wrapper in place.

Tape or glue the Airhead in place. Love is definitely in the air.

Look for more Valentine ideas to come. I kind of went Valentine crazy this year...well crazier than normal.

Minecraft Be MINE Valentine T-Shirt

Another installment of Valentine's Day T-shirt  Palooza. Woohoo!

This may or may not be the "cooler" shirt Oldest wanted. You know the one I referred to in his Hashtag Valentine's Day T-shirt.

Even though I am in love with the Hashtag Shirt, I can't blame Oldest too much for being jealous of his brother's shirt.

After all, what video game loving boy doesn't think Minecraft is the coolest game ever?

So to have a Minecraft Valentine's Day shirt is kind of the best thing ever...at least in this house.

To make this shirt, I used the image I made for the Creeper T-shirt party favors for Middle's Minecraft Creeper Birthday Party a couple of months ago.

I changed the text on the first T-shirt to say BE MINE...hahaha get it...be MINE...MINECRAFT...anywho...

I also created an old school looking graphic heart image using PicMonkey to go along with the whole Valentine's Day theme.

02.11.15 UPDATE
***I have now made available the image for this shirt. GO HERE to find the image I made for this shirt.***

I cut the images out of red and black flocked heat transfer vinyl from Expressions Vinyl with my Silhouette. I used a soft lovely...er I mean manly...gray heather tee from Target.

A fun boy-approved Valentine's Day T-shirt for my Minecraft lovin' Little Man.

Not shocking this is the favorite t-shirt in our house right now. It is Minecraft mania around here I tell you.
