That's right, I cooked something using an ingredient from our garden. JUMP BACK! I was pretty stinking proud of myself. We will only mention briefly, that it is a good thing I had Spencer look up online what spinach looked like when it was done or I probably would have missed it and let it go to waste. I feel like this gardening thing is one big guessing game for me. BUT on to better stuff. The spinach is growing well, I picked a whole bowl full and then found a recipe for chicken breast stuffed with spinach and pepperjack cheese and then, that is right, rolled in bacon. I can't express what kind of giddiness comes from using something you grew. I know it sounds nerdy, but I was just so happy that I didn't kill everything. Our little gardening is going pretty well and I look forward to just increasing my knowledge and garden in the future.
PS the recipe is on the Not Just For Kids blog because it was super yummy. I also know there have been a lot of posts lately, but I am going to be pretty busy over the next couple weeks, so these might have to hold my adoring fans over!

Your garden is awesome! I would be so excited to use something I grew. I hope I will be able to have my own someday. Good job Larissa!
Did you use turkey bacon?? Good job on that garden! I'm glad to see you are using it. I wasted my spinach last year.
Impressive!!! & the dinner looks delicious as well. I too was extremely giddy last year when we used our garden goods in our meals. Simple joys, right?
well done...and as for the turkey bacon question-i found out (on the ellen show from some guy who knows what he's talking about) that its really not better for you. i can't really remember why exactly but its in the book "eat this, not that." i just thought that was interesting because when i tried the turkey stuff, i never wanted to again...anyway, that was a tangent. your garden looks great. chalk one more thing that you're great at up on your imaginary board. you rule!
you are awesome, i can't grown ANYTHING!! I was worried about having children because every plant i tried to take care of died.:) That chicken looks goooood, i'll make it and just not put spinach in jason's--he is such a picky eater its impossible to cook for him. But i love pepperjack so i'll try it yo'.
I love gardening! I used basil from my garden to make some home made pesto last week and I felt so cool! I planted way too much stuff in my garden (it's my first one). Yours looks so nice! What exactly do you have planted in there?
