Good Morning, Good Food (Printable and Giveaway)

How do mornings go at your house?

Here, the mornings can get a little hairy. With four boys, there is one thing that morning produces: hungry grumpy little men. They are hungry because well, you know they haven't eaten in the last 30 minutes since the whole they were sleeping thing. They are grumpy because they are hungry.

Let me tell you, some days it just isn't too pleasant. So what is a Momma to do to get a good sunshiney morning?

The answer is simple. Get them yummy food and get it to them fast. Like, faster than a speeding bullet fast. Throwing cereal at their open mouths is not going to cut it either. They need something delicious, hearty, and packed with protein that will combat the hunger grumpies and will fuel them for a full day of learning and playing.

Enter Jimmy Dean and these Sausage, Egg and Cheese Croissant Sandwiches. Man did these yummy sandwiches make my hungry grumpy monsters happy. Since they are done all warm and delicious in less than three minutes, that takes care of the whole faster than a speeding bullet thing.

Oh the happiness that happens when my little men eat these sandwiches. They would eat these anytime of day. Pair them with a glass of juice and they are the perfect way to start the day for four growing boys.

Now we have one good morning after another.

I mean look at these happy let's-start-this-day-off-right-faces!

Jimmy Dean offers a wide variety of quick, warm and delicious breakfast options. To learn more about Jimmy Dean and to see a complete list of product offerings visit Jimmy Dean's website or check out the brand on Facebook.

Go grab some Jimmy Dean breakfast for an awesome weekend flavor on a busy weekday morning. Also, print this sweet little Good Morning printable to hang up on the fridge.

Load Up Your Cart with Target Cartwheel App {Sweepstakes}

I have made it absolutely no secret how much I love Target. LOVE. LOVE. L.O.V.E.

I love their clothes. I love their little men clothes. I love their shoes, their bedding, their decor, their popcorn (you know, fresh popped in a red cheery popcorn bag), their toy selection, their jewelry...

Okay this list could go on and on. Yes, I love Target.

Now I have another point of infatuation with my beloved Target. I am infatuated with their Cartwheel App.

Have you heard of it? Have you downloaded it? Do you use it?

Well, you should my friends. This app will rock your world. I mean, I know you are already shopping at Target, so you might as well save some dollars as you do and use the Cartwheel App.

Let me give you the down low on Target's Cartwheel App, you know, since I am a Cartwheel wizard now.

Target's Cartwheel App can can be used on your desktop, tablet, mobile web or iPhone and Droid apps. You can sign into Cartwheel with either your Facebook login or your Target.com login. You can generate your own list of offers by perusing the over 700 offers/coupons available in Cartwheel and simply adding the offers you are most likely to use. You can make your lists sitting at home on your computer or you can peruse them in the car sitting in the Target parking lot.

Searching is made even easier with the Cartwheel collections. Cartwheel collections are curated lists of offers. The collections make it easy to search for offers on the go. The collections could be offers organized by holiday and seasonal, grocery, women's apparel, baby items, and many more. My favorite was the Weekly Ad Double Dip.

This collection organizes the Cartwheel offers that coordinated with items in the store that were part of Target's Weekly Deals. Genius I tell you! I simply looked through the list and added the offers I wanted to My Cartwheel.

I kind of geeked out over the fact that I could stack offers. You can use the Cartwheel offers with any other Target discounts or coupons, manufacturers' coupons and your REDcard discount. That is a whole lot of saving right there.

The collections are not a comprehensive list of all the offers. There are TONS of offers available and at any given time. Remember, like over 700 offers. CRAZY.

One of the easy ways you can check for offers is to use your phone to scan the barcode of the item you are about to purchase and the Cartwheel App will tell you if there is an offer available for that item. Then it will add it to your generated list of offers.

You simply have to go to the main menu. Then you double tap on the little bar code.

Then a barcoade scanner will appear. You scan the barcode for the item in question. Then either an offer will pop up or you will get a message saying there is no offer available for that time right now.

I looked pretty legit checking for offers in the cleaning aisle.

So legit in fact that this cute momma of littles came up and asked me what I was doing. She knew about the Cartwheel App but didn't know about this scan feature. I spread the Cartwheel App love and now she knows!

Once I had my scanned offers and the offers I had previously added to My Cartwheel, it was time to go around the store to load up my cart.

I loaded up my cart with some things I didn't so much need, but wanted nonetheless.

I was also able to get somethings I needed, like new bedding. See the double stacking of offers on top of sale prices?

In fact, I was able to use my Threshold offer for both a new bedskirt AND new pillow cases. You are allowed to have multiple uses of offers until the offer expires. The only stipulations are that you limit 4 items per offer (I used 2... man, I should have gotten 2 more Threshold bath or bedding items), per transactions and you can use your Cartwheel offers up to 6 transactions in a day. So if you used an offer on 1 item to purchase the limit of 4 and did that transaction 6 times in 1 day, then you could have 24 of that particular item.

Yeah, I'm a math genius. Eh, not so much, so if I can do it, you can do it.

You probably don't want 24 sets of sheets, or even 4, but if you were using the Cartwheel App on bottle of Diet Coke, then this would keep your habit supplied for awhile.

Once I was ready to check out, all of my offers are all compiled into one barcode. So when I was done checking out, the lovely Target employee scanned that single scan barcode and all of my discounts came right off.

AWESOME.

In this trip I purchased laundry detergent, liquid dish soap, a Threshold bed skirt, a set of Threshold king sized pillow cases, two packages of M&M's, and a bra (yeah I just okay with telling you I bought a bra). All of these things were already on sale. Then thanks to the Cartwheel App my additional savings were $15.00. They would have been even more had I had a REDcard. I am working on it people, I don't know what my excuse is. Still, 15 bones isn't bad.

Thanks for letting me blather on about this amazing app. If you haven't downloaded Target's Cartwheel App yet, oh you really should. If you have downloaded it, but are unsure how it worked, now I hope you know. If you are a Cartwheel App wizard, thanks for letting me join your club. My certificate is in the mail, right?

I know you are all excited to use the Cartwheel App now, but you are about to get even more excited...

You can enter a sweepstakes to win  a $1,000 Target GiftCard®. Say what?!? Best prize ever!

What do you buy most frequently at Target? Have you ever used the Cartwheel app? Let me know in the comments below to enter to win. You can also earn TWO entries by doing two of the entry methods included in the Sweepstakes Rules below:

Disney's Planes "Reach Your Dreams and Have Courage" Sweepstakes

Our family has been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Disney's new film Planes in theaters. Since the very first preview, we have been counting down. We love both Cars and Cars 2, and have already marked August 9th on our calendars for this release.

We have watched every trailer available. We feel we already know and love so many of the characters, especially Dusty, the films main character, a crop-dusting plane who has big dreams to become more than he is. He decides to follow his big dreams, enter a rally and race against the world's greatest flying machines.

Dusty has a team of colorful and endearing characters, who each in their own individual way support and help Dusty try to reach his dreams.

Dusty's journey to his goal reminds me of the big dreams and hopes my own children have.

My own little "Dusty's" have or will have big, sometimes unattainable dreams.

How am I a part of their team? How do I support and help them reach their goal and have courage to do so?

Basically, what is my parenting style?

In the film, each member of Dusty's Team has a different way of encouraging him. They each bring different traits and styles. I found my own parenting style sprinkled in little traits of each character. However, I found I related the most to Dottie.

Dottie is a little too practical and is very much a realist. She worries over the grandness and the seemingly unreachable nature of Dusty's dreams. She doesn't so much worry about the dream itself, but the danger of the dream for Dusty. Ultimately, though, whatever he decides Dottie will fiercely support him and help get him to where he wants to be.

While I do not possess her tough-love mentality (here I am little more like Chug with my softie heart), even in the face of impractical, unreachable, and even dangerous dreams, I, like Dottie, will back my own little crop-dusters.

When it comes down to it, I would rather them have big unattainable dreams than no dreams at all. I daily will encourage them to Reach For Their Dreams and Have Courage. I find myself doing this by facing life with joy, some seriousness, a lot of laughter, and a bit of biting my tongue.

When their vocalized goals seem impractical, I make sure I don't put out their fire with a ready response such as, "That pencil stand made from folded printer paper is nice, but let's not sell it door-to-door in the neighborhood." Instead I try to let them follow through with their idea. Even if that means there might be danger in their feelings getting hurt or no one buying their very "fancy" paper holder. Who knows, they might just be the inventors of the next must-have ergonomic desk accessory.

I want them to be smart about their goals and encourage them to think them through. However, I work really hard to not dash the dream or the dreamer.

All it takes is courage, both for the dreamer and the Momma.

The dreamer just needs the courage to reach, to try, to fail, to succeed, to dream. As parents, I feel we can help our dreamer by tapping into who we are and using our strengths to support them. Just like Dusty had a team full of supporters with different styles encouraging him, our dreamers can be encouraged by different styles, too.

The Momma and Dad just need the courage to let our dreamers FLY while trying not to worry too much about the heights or possible crashes.

Again, dreaming a big dream is better than no dream.

Let them fly.

Now for the Reach Your Dreams and Have Courage Sweepstakes!

To enter for a chance to win a $100 Fandango.com gift card all you need to do is leave a comment by answering the question--

How do you challenge your children to follow their dreams?

Easy as that.

Albion Swimsuit Review and $100 Giveaway

First, this a lovely and wonderfully comfortable bathing suit from Albion Fit that I am absolutely in love with.

Second...

Goosh.

That is a photo of me.

That is a photo of me in a swimsuit.

That is a photo of me in a swimsuit that I am actually posting.

Give me a moment to freak out in my head.

(aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...gasp...gasp...aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....head between my knees...deep breaths....aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)

Thanks for giving me a moment.

For those of you who know me, you know this is a Hell freezing over kind of situation.

Which is why I would only trust my very close, very talented photographer friend Lisa of Lisa Hansen Photography to snap my bathing suit photos. When I called her in hysterics, she immediately obliged. I am so very grateful she lent me her talents.

Now that I have gotten over the shock of showing the world me in a bathing suit, let me tell you about this swimsuit and why I am willing to break my cardinal law (being photographed in a swimsuit).

Albion Fit contacted me and asked me if I would like to review one of their swimsuits. In under 3 seconds of looking at their site I was eagerly typing them back with an ecstatic "YES".

I ultimately picked the Criss Cross Suit because of its vintage feel. I have also wanted a classic black suit for awhile.

I was a little nervous after I picked it because I have not worn a one piece in over a decade. I have stuck strictly to tankinis for the very simple reason that prior to this whenever I have tried a one piece it looked horrible. They would cut me off all funny. I would feel like I had to walk all hunchback to make it fit. Basically, for whatever reason I would always look like a sad and unfortunate oompa loompa.

Not normally the look one goes for on the beach.

Well, who knew that was because I had been trying on sub par cheapo suits?!!??

As soon as I slipped the Criss Cross Suit on from Albion Fit, I actually said out loud, "Well this is how a swimsuit is supposed to fit. Glory be."

Yes I did actually say GLORY BE...just ask Hubby.

I can not fully explain how comfortable and supportive this suit is.

To. Die. For.

I am now fully confident that if I jump off the diving board in my normal graceful fashion I will neither a) get a wedgie or b) come out of the top.

Besides the comfort and support of the suit, it really is rather lovely.

Like I said earlier, it is a classic and vintage looking suit. I am in love with the neck line. LOVE I tell you.

The gathering in the front adds a great detail AND if you have had a few...say like four...kids the added bonus of the gathers is that it helps disguise any deflated balloon belly.

Speaking of my kids, this suit is the perfect suit for a day trip to the pool. I can lounge and look like a carefree movie star for the 60 seconds my boys will let me. Then when the monkeys realize they are free from their cage, the suit will keep up with all the carrying, saving, and being climbed upon that having four monkeys entails.

Best. Suit. Ever.

Now Albion doesn't just make suits. They also make a pretty rockin' line of athletic wear for women that I can't wait to try!

So now on to the best part.

Oh the giveaway. Happy dance for giveaways.

Albion Fit has so generously offered one of Just Another Day in Paradise readers a $100 gift card to use towards a suit or some workout clothes.

To enter all you need to do is follow the prompts of the Rafflecopter.

The mandatory entries are to visit Albion Fit, look around, fall in love, and
come back and leave a comment about what you love.

The other entries are not mandatory, but hey who wouldn't
want more chances to win this gift card??

The giveaways will run until Saturday, June 22nd at 11:59 pm MST.

If you simply can't wait for the giveaway, then they are also offering $15 off any purchase of $50 or more
with the use of the code JustAnotherDay15.

Good Luck!!

Firmoo Glasses Review (and GIVEAWAY)

A great pair of glasses is simply scrumptious, but first things first...

I need to announce the winner of the Shabby Apple Giftcard giveaway.

The winner is Jessica Williams-Boling.
Congrats Jessica!!

Back to scrumptious glasses.

I have been wearing glasses, more or less, since I was about nine. I say more or less because I really didn't have to wear those glasses a lot until recently. Seriously my first several pair of glasses were completely hideous. I hated wearing them.

So I...uh...didn't...

I could get away with it because my young slightly impaired eye (yes I spoke in the singular, I only had one poorly-seeing eye...and I wonder how Little came upon his glasses situation) wasn't really too bad and my good eye totally made up the difference.

So my ugly glasses hardly "saw" the light of day...hahahaha.

Now my slightly less young problematic eye has been joined by the other less young eye and I have a pair of not so great eyes, slightly special eyes.

I have to wear my glasses a whole lot more in order to actually see with my special eyes. Which means I totally have to have a great pair of glasses.

Glasses are so much cooler now than they were when I was nine.

A great pair of glasses doesn't just have to be for function, but it can also be a fabulous accessory. Firmoo is an online store with a HUGE selection of frames which include prescription and non prescription frames and sunglasses. In fact it is so vast and glorious that I poured over the online catalog and it took me a full day to decided which pair I wanted most.  I was a little nervous to order glasses online. Normally when you order things online you can't ensure they are going to fit or look right. Firmoo helps you know the glasses will look great with their virtual try-on system. You simply uploaded a picture of your face and you can see how the glasses will actually look on your face.

I chose this pair. I super duper love them. They aren't quite as Tortoise shell as I had thought they would be, but they are totally Classy Librarian which is what I had wanted. They fit perfectly on my face too.

They came super fast. They are fun. They are sturdy and I don't worry about them being snapped by teeny-tiny-glasses-grabbers.

They are classy. I feel smarter the minute I put them on. Do you need me to find you a book?

I am pretty sure Hubby agrees that I am one classy Librarian.

Someone around here needs to be classy...the assistant photographer seems to only be able to talk about boogers and crusties.

That is low. No one wants a picture of them rearing back and laughing...At least I still look classy in my new glasses.

Seriously you know you want a pair of your own glasses. You too can be a classy Librarian. Or a hipster. Or a super duper hottie Mommy.

Firmoo has just launched a first pair free program. You can get your first pair free (pay shipping only). To top it off if you are unsatisfied with your glasses they are easily exchanged or refunded. Free stylish glasses? Who wouldn't want that.

"No free glasses for me", SAID NO ONE EVER.

Now I am pretty sure I mentioned something about a giveaway. Firmoo is offering $30 dollar vouchers to a few of Just Another Day in Paradise readers to use towards ordering a pair of designer glasses. So basically you can get your first pair free AND you could win a voucher to go toward another pair of designer glasses.

GIVEAWAY: Shabby Apple Giftcard (CLOSED)

Giveaway Closed

Oh, Oh, Oh how excited are you?

Are you as excited as me?

A GIVEAWAY, but not just giveaway. A Shabby Apple Giveaway.

I love Shabby Apple. I love their selection of beautiful clothing and accessories. I get so excited every time a new collection comes out that adds to their already awesome line of clothing.

I about shrieked when their swimsuits came out for the summer of 2013. They have a great selection of suits in their Aquamaids swim line.

Then I practically swooned when I saw this Rocket Split Swimsuit.

I am loving the black and white in that suit.

I am pretty much loving black and white print period. I love that it is classic and timeless.

The Hully Gully polka dot pencil skirt is fantastic and it would be so cozy in my closet.

I am also super crushing on the Jacob's Pillow pencil skirt peplum top dress I posted at the top. I would more than happily run through a meadow in heels if I were wearing that dress.

Let's tell the truth, I would happily run through a meadow in any of their dresses.

Would you? Do you love them as much as I do? I can't imagine that you don't!

Well lucky day! Shabby Apple is giving a

It's My Birthday GIVEAWAY: Flirt Earrings CLOSED

GIVEAWAY CLOSED

Today I am 20, plus an extra 13 years give or take.

I have a few more laugh lines and worry wrinkles. I have a smattering of gray hairs that I am too lazy to color. I have a bum knee.

I have earned it all and I have enjoyed my 33 year long journey so far.

So there is no hiding, no pretending, and absolutely no wiping my birthday from the calendar. I am wearing 33 proud.

Let's celebrate with a giveaway for something lovely, girly, glamorous, and accessory-tastic...some of my favorite adjectives. Yes accessory-tastic is totally an adjective. I am pretty sure it is in the dictionary. Look it up. Do dictionaries still exist??

Sorry got sidetracked.

Back to the It's My Birthday Giveaway.

One of my college roommates is, well in a word, AH-MAZING. She has two of the cutest shops ever. Her shop Rachael's Homemade Soap Shop sells gloriously lovely homemade soaps. I might want to buy all of them. She also sells, homemade crocheted washrags, colorful clothespins and more. I have used her soap before and the quality of her work is amazing.

So can you imagine how excited I was when she opened another shop exclusively for beautiful earrings in all shapes and colors. Her new shop is Flirt.

Then I got a few pairs in the mail. They were even more beautiful in person.

These Gold Melody earrings make my day. I am on a serious gold accessory kick.

I have been on the search for a great pair of yellow earrings for at least a year. I just couldn't seem to find a pair that I liked that were the right shade of yellow.

Search over thanks to Flirt's The Kitty in Yellow.

I have had the earrings a week and have already rocked them each several times. I love them. In fact, I already have my eye on a couple of other pairs. I pretty much want the whole "Rusty" line...but the coral ones are shouting at me the loudest.

Needless to say I love them.

Now is your chance to help me celebrate my birthday and enter to win TWO pairs of Flirt earrings, your choice of style and color.

For a chance at winning yourself two pairs of earrings follow the entry prompts below. Make sure to complete the mandatory entries and then choose one or all of the rest of the entries to increase your chances.

The giveaway starts today...ehem, my birthday...and goes through Friday, February 22nd 11:59 pm MST.

If you are so excited and can't wait to see if you won, good news...Rachael is offering Just Another Day in Paradise Readers a 10% discount on her earrings during the giveaway. Just use PARADISE when checking out.

Have fun and GOOD LUCK.

Cutting Edge Stencil GIVEAWAY and review

Do you like my new tote? I kind of like it too. My favorite thing about this bag is that I was able to custom make the main material to my little hearts delight.

Say what??!!

Yup, that is right. The main material was completely custom made.

Custom made you say? But that sounds like too much work and it sounds haaaarrd.

Guess what! Making my own custom fabric was easy peasy all thanks to Cutting Edge Stencils.

Cutting Edge Stencils contacted me asking me to review one of their stencils. I of course immediately said, "Why happily!"

They make so many fantastic stencils great for a variety of projects. I honestly couldn't decide. I literally took a week before finally narrowing down what to do.

Do I pick one of their fabulous wall stencils? If so, which one...for the love which one?!? Which wall? The possibilities are virtually endless and all wonderful. What is a girl to do?

But the possibilities didn't stop there. They have new craft stencils perfect for fabric and smaller projects.

Did you catch that I just said they make stencils for fabric? That was a hint to what I chose.

After much hemming and hawing I finally made my decision. Craft stencil it was.

The Zamira craft stencil to be exact.

Once I made my decision, I could hardly wait for my stencil to get here. Then it came!

This stencil can be used on fabric and on any small project.

I had visions of this tote almost right away. I also knew I wanted my pattern to be gray. I really have a fondness for gray.

I bought simple white duck cloth for my fabric canvas.

I picked out my paint.

I cut out all my pieces and then I started to stencil away.

The stencil was easy to use and only took a little patience. The good news is that Cutting Edge Stencils has a simple How-to-Stencil videos. Once I got the hang of stenciling, it was a breeze.

I soon had several lovely pieces. They dried quickly and before I knew it I was ready to start sewing with my new custom fabric.

Now thanks to some especially lovely stenciled fabric I have quite a gorgeous Carry All Tote.

Are you already imagining all the lovely things you can make using their stencils?

You know you are now listing in your head all the stenciling projects you can do.

You know you want one of your own!

Well woohoo! This is your day.

Cutting Edge Stencils are giving one of my readers(US Residents only) one stencil up to $50 in value. The winner will be able to pick out their favorite stencil and Cutting Edge Stencils will ship it to the winner for free.

Can I get a woohoo??
