Postcards plus T-shirts equals Easy Little Man Room Decor

My loverly friends and fam who followed me when this was more just a family blog, this will look familiar. Just before I had our third baby, almost a year ago ( I can't believe it), we moved our two older boys into a room together.

After a lot of debating back and forth with myself, I landed on the superhero theme. At the time Pottery Barn had some ah-mazing stuff, but alas my budget just couldn't swing it. So I had to think outside of the box.

These are some of the decorations I came up with--

Super hero postcards from USPS for a whole $10, put inside these cheap IKEA picture frames. Instant wall art.

Isn't Superman dreamy? Anyone remember Dean Cain?

I scavenged for cheap superhero t-shirts to make into pillows.  Sewing with jersey is never fun, but with a little patience and a little looking the other way when your seams aren't perfect, you will have a perfect throw pillow for your little superhero's bed.

Throwing this in just for kicks and giggles...

I found these tins at a flea market and grabbed 'em quick. The dresser below was a Kmart special that we painted red. Easy peasy.

I have learned that when you are decorating a room on a budget that once you have your theme or colors, you just have to be on the look our for anything that can be used  and then get creative.
