White Chicken Lasagna

This is our family's favorite lasagna recipe. It calls for no marinara, hence the white part of the lasagna. Make sure to leave plenty of time for it to cook, this recipe is not one that cooks faster than the cook time...

White Chicken Lasagna

Ingredients:

2-3 cups cooked chicken, diced
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of broccoli soup
4 cups chicken broth, small amount reserved
1 cup sour cream
1/2 pound cottage cheese
1/2 container of ricotta cheese
1 lb mozzarella or Italian cheese blend
1 tsp basil
1 pkg lasagna noodles
salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350. Combine everything but the chicken and reserved chicken broth.

Mix in chicken.

Pour reserved broth in the bottom of a greased 9x13 baking dish, make sure it covers the bottom. Layer uncooked noodles and sauce until mixture is gone (or pan is full!), ending with sauce.

Baked covered for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 35-40 minutes or more, until golden brown. Let stand after removing from oven for 5-10 minutes.

Grab a salad and some French bread and eat it up.
