FROYO week: Almond Joy Frozen Yogurt
So much Froyo, so little time.
I have been lovin' all this frozen yogurt. My brain is also fairly busting with more ideas. Fingers crossed they all work and I will be sharing more recipes with you.
Today's recipe came from me coming across a can of coconut milk in our pantry. Coconut milk is so fabulous to cook with. So many handy dandy uses.
Today one little can of coconut milk and a couple bars of these for inspiration...
and we get this-
Hubby really likes Almond Joys. Really, really. I traditionally am more like "eh, well if it is all the chocolate we got, I will eat it."
For some reason though, I saw that coconut milk and then saw these candy bars and I was immediately craving Almond Joy Frozen Yogurt.
This frozen yogurt was yummy. It was a little more on the icy side then the other yogurts, probably thanks to the coconut milk. With that being said, Hubby and I still thoroughly enjoyed the coconut flavored frozen yogurt. Then add in the Magic Shell milk chocolate topping and a sprinkling of almond slivers and shut up...
DElightful.
That is what it is.
Almond Joy Frozen Yogurt
32 oz plain Greek yogurt
1 can coconut milk
1 can fat free sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 tsp coconut extract
Magic Shell chocolate topping
slivered almonds
Combine yogurt, milks, and extract in a bowl. Blend completely.
Pour into your ice cream maker. After is it firm, remove to a freezer safe container and freeze to set up about an hour.
Then serve up, topping with the Magic Shell and almonds.
Enjoy. One more scheduled FROYO recipe. I might be whipping up an additional one to share, but we will see. COME back tomorrow for our favorite frozen yogurt recipe...oh I can hardly wait to share it with you.
