you rejoice that you got to sleep in until 7:30
breakfast in bed is brought by an entourage
birthday posters are done in varying shades of crayon
your idea of the perfect present is the day pass you get for a morning workout at the gym
icing on the cake is not actual icing OR cake, but that you get to take a shower and get ready with no children under foot
you about peed your pants over this present and at the thought of being able to use it...
getting gussied up for your day, and you still look like this...
Truth be told, I don't feel any different today than I did yesterday, a month ago, or even a year ago (ok that is a lie, perhaps I am a little more tired). I am not sure I still feel the same because I still feel young, or as my brother said, I have always been old and now the numbers have caught up with me.
So with a sweet angelic smile on my face...here's to being 30.

What a difference 30 years make! I remember two scared kids trying to figure out if it really was labor since the due date was still 6 weeks out, and then the nurse came in and said you were about to arrive. Forty-five minutes later here you came and that cold winter morning in K. Falls all of a sudden took on different look. Thanks for coming to our home and starting our life as parents.
We love you, and please take it easy with that new vacuum, because it looks pretty sporty and you might hurt yourself if you drive it too fast. Have a great b-day!
It just doesn't seem like it has been 30 years. Yes, you were born an old soul, but I think those two you kids needed someone exactly like you. Not to mention what a great example you have been to the next five kids. We love you so much. Mom

Happy 30th bday!!! It's a special one for sure and at times, I think the 30s can be better - at least people seem to take you more seriously and think we are more mature in this decade. I mean I have to look at it positively, right? :)
Larissa, you seriously make 30 look fabulous! Happy Birthday! Love that amazing sweater you made-over!
