Statement Valentine's Day T-shirt

We call this face his I am too cool for Valentine's Day but I am still gonna celebrate it smolder. Before we talk about this Statement Valentine's Day T-shirt that is perfect for your tweenager boy, can I just say, when in the crappity crap did Oldest start looking like a mini man??

Remember when he looked like this-

Well you may not. You may have never known that tiny face with huge chocolate eyes and eyelashes for days. But man, this Momma remembers. This Momma is also finding it really hard to admit that the above pictured 6 year old could really have turned into this almost 12 year old.

Sigh. Time does march on. I am getting old. Babies grow up and turn into tweenagers (I am denial about the very soon TEENager label).

Speaking of tweenagers, lets get talking about this Statement Valentine's Day T-shirt before I start blubbering.

This is the last year that Oldest will really celebrate Valentine's Day in the have a party and pass out valentine's way. When you are in your last year of elementary school, you are still technically part of the fun, but excitement is different. They are older. They are cooler.

When I approached him with the idea for this shirt, he was immediately on board. He liked that it was simple. He liked that it was ironic. He liked that it was pretty funny.

So I whipped out this Statement Valentine's Day shirt in like 10 minutes. So easy peasy.

I used heat transfer vinyl and cut it with my Silhouette. The font I used was Bauhaus. The T-shirt was from The Mart and was under $3. Happy dance for that folks.

Iron it on.
BAM.
Done.

Now the in house tweenager is all set for his school Valentine's Day party. And it would appear that even he is pretty happy about it.

I am sure this laugh only came because someone farted, but I will take it.

Happy Valentine's Day! Remember, head over to my post Boy Approved Valentine's Day T-shirts if you need more ideas.

Boy Approved Valentine T-shirts

Earlier this week I shared 15 Boy Approved Valentines. Today I am sharing a round up of Boy Approved Valentine T-shirts.

As a Mom of all boys, I know first hand how hard it can be to come up with fun holiday shirts that are boy approved. Especially Valentine's Day shirts. I mean how does one put all that lovey dovey stuff into a cool, somewhat masculine shirt just right for a little man.

Years ago I decided I was just going to make my own shirts for them. It has been fun coming up with different boy approved valentine shirts. I have also found a lot of other cute shirts out there for boys. So I rounded them all up in this post.

You're welcome.

Some are shirts you can DIY yourselves and a few are ones you could buy. Make or buy, they are all cute...er, uh I mean studly.

Lumberjack In Training T-Shirt

This is my new favorite made by me t-shirt. I really like making t-shirts. Ain't no secret.

I have been wanting to make a lumberjack t-shirt for awhile. At first it started because like most single females between 20-25 my sister is obsessed with lumberjacks (well the hipster version of lumberjacks) and I thought about making a shirt for her.

Then I realized I have four Little Men and they are basically hipster lumberjacks in training. AKA, they are a little ways away from the quintessential lumberjack requirement...a beard. So it became pretty clear that the first lumberjack themed shirt I needed to make was a Lumberjack in Training T-Shirt. Sorry Sister.

When I started drafting up a design, I knew I wanted a lumberjack beard and a lumberjack beanie.

The shirt would be fabulous that way, but I decided to add the "Lumberjack in training" part.

Pretty sure this Little Man of mine is killing it in this shirt. I don't know what I am going to do when he (or any of the other boys) can actually grow a beard. I am probably going to cry and then start harshly judging all of the girls that try to date him (them).

Kidding. I don't judge. I do, however, cry.

Now I just need to make three more.

Superheroes Eat Veggies

Do you have a picky eater at your house? Do you fight to get them to eat fruits and veggies? I have a picky-cringes-at-the-sight-of-veggies-eater so I feel your pain.

Well I have a couple of mommy \brilliant solutions for you.

First, all you need to do is convince your picky eater that as a Superhero (or princess or ninja or whatever) they need their fruit and veggies. We are a bunch of superheroes around this house, so I opted to remind my super picky eater that Superheroes Eat Veggies.

I decided my picky eater needed a t-shirt to help him remind him that as a superhero he needed to eat his veggies. The Superheroes Eat Veggies T-shirt was born. He hasn't wanted to take off his this shirt since he put it on. Keep reading for details on how I made this shirt.

The next mommy brilliant solution are these Del Monte Fruit Burst Squeezers. They are brilliant. They have fruit squeezers and fruit and VEGGIE squeezers. Plus they are portable. Everyone knows as a Superhero you have be ready to go save the world on a moments notice.

Superheroes also need to eat a lot. Not long after breakfast they need a snack. Just after lunch, they need a snack. Snacks, snacks, and more snacks. I have been struggling to avoid the typical snacks of crackers, chips, and junk food. These little pouches of fruit and veggie goodness have saved me.

With so many yummy flavors, my Supers have lots of options so they are happy. I am happy because whether they are the Fruit Only Squeezers in strawberry and mixed berry or the Fruit and Veggie Squeezers in peach mango, blueberry, and apple cinnamon they are getting a healthy snack.

They are packed with 1 1/2 servings of fruits and veggies. They are have a fruit-tastic taste that my Supers loved. They have no corn syrup which I loved.

These have a variety of ways to use them. Not only are they great for an on-the go snack or the school lunch box, but they also are great for after game snacks. No matter how you serve them, your Supers will love them. For more ideas on how to encourage your kids to eat healthy visit this my Healthy Kid-Approved Snacks Pinterest Board.

Add some garden to your Super's lunch box and the snack pantry with these Fruit Squeezers. Your Superhero will run faster and fly higher.

Run faster than a speeding bullet to your local grocery store and grab up some of these Del Monte Fruit Squeezers. Del Monte offers good for you fruit goodness in plastic cups. Again, any way you serve it, they are gonna love it.

Once you have your favorite Del Monte snack in your pantry, snap a photo of your Super enjoying their snack and head on over to Del Monte's Facebook Page and enter Back To School Contest: Do you Squeeze or Spoon? All you have to do is upload your photo and vote on your favorites.

How cute would your photo be if your Super was sporting this Superheroes Eat Veggies T-shirt while they were enjoying their favorite Del Monte snack? You could change the wording to Princesses Eat Veggies or Superheroes Eat Fruit And Veggies or anything else.

To make the shirt:

You need a t-shirt, heat transfer vinyl, vinyl cutting software. The font I used was Bebas. Type up the phrase you want and flip it horizontally, cut it out on your vinyl cutter, and iron on to your t-shirt. If you don't have a vinyl cutter you can also trace the phrase onto freezer paper, cut out to make a stencil, and use fabric paint to paint on the words to the shirt. Any way you make it, your kiddo will look adorable.

So let me know, do your kids prefer to Squeeze or Spoon? My Supers can't decide what they like to do best because they love it all.

Let me know in the comments if your kids prefer to Squeeze or Spoon and you will be entered to win $100 Visa Gift Card. Eek! So exciting. Who couldn't use a $100? Also don't forget to go and visit Del Monte on Facebook and enter their Back To School Contest. If you share a photo of your kiddos' favorite Del Monte Squeeze or Spoon snack on their page between August 1st and September 1st you could win one of two $10,000 grand prizes for your kids' school.

Superhero In Training T-Shirt

Superheros are a big deal around here.

Like BIG.

B.I.G

How big?

Well, I have four Superheros in training to be exact. That is a pretty big deal.

I figured I should make a shirt declaring their future world saving status. That way their awesomeness would be clear.

Hence, this Superhero In Training T-Shirt.

I used Expressions Vinyl flocked heat transfer vinyl and cut it with my Silhouette. I used a simple rectangle shape and block lettering. I used the negative space for the letters.

It was a quick and fun project that brought immediate joy to the wearer and the momma.

Do you see this face?

He loves this shirt, as would any superhero in training.

I think this superhero's superpower is cuteness.

Do you have Superheros In Training at your house? They might need a shirt like this.

Thanks for reading Peeps!
