Splash Day Playgroup

This was the second go of this event. It was scheduled a couple of weeks ago, but in true Ohio fashion the weather got all nasty so we had to cancel it. Luckily the weather was perfect today. It was fun to have a bunch of moms and kids from the ward over. I don't have much in aqua entertainment, but I soon realized I could have had just a hose and most of the kids would have been happy. We had a couple of little pools, a sprinkler, and water balloons (with painted picture to throw them at). Of course the real hit was once the popsicles came out. I was like the pied piper once I had those, you couldn't get the kids off me.

Cole has gotten so brave with water this year. It was fun to watch him just run wild and play. Jack wasn't quite as adventurous. He mostly just got ticked when ever someone splashed him in the face. Oh well, what can you do!

Did you paint that picture? You really are super mom. It looks like y'all had a lot of fun.

Can I just tell you I'm so mad. I'm going to Camas the beginning of August and I think I am going to miss your visit by like a day or two. I will be there with the kids the 5th-15th.
I will have to call and harass you soon.

What a fun idea! I wish we had a bigger backyard to do fun things like that. Maybe I will convince a friend to host. heehee. :) Cute pics too! They make me want a popsicle.

I'm so sad and sorry I missed everything this week. We have a very important showing this afternoon that i spent 5 days getting ready for- and not sleeping. I think it paid off though!

Hey, I will send out a big HOLLA for Sis. Z and tell you I'm so thankful you are my daughter. You didn't get that creativeness from me for sure, but you are the bomb. I see mom and Nathole have also commented on your party, so you can see you are making quite the impression. Love you Rissy, and you have a lovely Friday.

Looks like so much fun! My poor kids haven't been out to swim too much this year. I can't be in the sun for more than five seconds without feeling like I'm going to pass out. There's always next year though.

Where do you get the energy? I guess I consider myself someone with a heap of energy but....man, I am just plain lazy in comparison. What a fun idea. Why didn't we have any of these parties at Wrigley's? The good old days.

Fun that you found me in the blog world! Isn't the internet great? I think your memory that you left on my blog was great. Ahh, the beach and the Tillamook cheese factory. I live in Portland again so we've made it out there a few times to reminisce. Do you remember making a giant Monopoly board in the sand? Good times.

The party looks like a ton of fun. I have found it doesn't take much for a group of kids to have crazy fun. Your family is darling. I like your digi-scrapping also.

I got our Yamo carrier used from a website called thebabywearer.com. It is sort of like an Ergo, but a bit nicer. You can wear your kids on the front or back (Jonah actually prefers the front) and it is really lightweight. :)
