Not Too Shabby

Who would have thunk it? I actually followed a pattern. There was some hyperventilating, some seam rippin', some emotional eating, and a whole lot of making it up as I went.

BUT hey with my favorite cardigan to cover up the messy arm hole seams and a cute bead necklace to hide any other sewing newbie imperfections it makes a pretty cute outfit.

Now that I have sewn with a pattern I know I can do it...I also know I still don't like it!

What pattern did you use?

I'm totally with ya. I don't enjoy following a pattern. Super cute outfit though!

It turned out great. I promise that following patterns gets easier with practice. And even still, I still have to pick things out and start over. Way to persevere.

Super cute. I think patterns are written in Greek, myself.

PS the pattern that I did use was Simplicity 3692, it was a Built by Wendy pattern.

Thanks everyone for the love on my first sewing project...okay maybe I will follow another pattern...sometime.

You made this top? I am super impressed. As in, I genuinely thought this post was about a necklace you made or something because the shirt looks store bought. Awesome.
